  • According to MSEB's chief Engineer Mr. Sunnapwar dated 23rd October 2002 "The power generation is not likely to increase in the next two to three years whereas the demand for power in the state will go up annually around 500 Mw."

  • MSEB chief engineer, Pune urban zone, Gajanan Sunnapwar said, "it's a tightrope walk for us while undertaking load-shedding as we have to consider demands from all sectors. Citizens in Pune have so far taken the load-shedding in their stride."

  • Energy minister has also stated that the Board had to repair 25,000 transformers last year because they were overloaded.
